Tunia’s Sottofondo is a sparkling Trebbiano wine crafted through a second fermentation in the bottle, started with a small dose of must from dried grapes. This process creates a lightly veiled amber color, due partly to a short maceration on the skins and the unfiltered nature of the wine. Expect a fine, gentle effervescence and bright acidity that lend freshness and a slightly tannic feel on the palate. Aromas reveal hints of ripe fruit, subtle nutty tones, and a touch of breadcrust from the natural sediment left in the bottle.

Because it has not been disgorged, a bit of sediment gathers at the bottom, reflecting the wine’s living character and ongoing evolution.
